DAY 1
This module explores the integration of sustainability in luxury hospitality, emphasizing a responsible and holistic approach. Participants will learn about sustainable practices, innovative strategies, and case studies demonstrating how luxury brands can deliver exceptional experiences while maintaining environmental and social responsibility.
The session will cover key areas such as eco-friendly design, sustainable operations, and the role of technology in enhancing sustainable luxury experiences.
This session explores the principles of sustainable performance within the luxury hospitality sector.
It covers the integration of eco-friendly practices and ethical standards into luxury services, examining case studies and metrics for assessing sustainability efforts. Participants will learn to implement effective monitoring strategies and methodologies (KPIs) to ensure that luxury experiences not only meet but exceed environmental and social responsibility standards, maintaining the allure of luxury experiences.
DAY 2
This module focuses on the latest developments and terminologies in Data, AI, and Generative AI, participants gained insights into cutting-edge technologies and their applications.
The session highlighted real-life transformation case studies in the hospitality industry, showcasing how these advancements are revolutionizing customer experiences, operational efficiency, and decision-making processes. Participants get to discover the keys to successfully driving organizational transformation, emphasizing the importance of data-driven strategies, embracing AI innovations, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation. By understanding these elements, participants are better equipped to lead their organizations through the dynamic landscape of the modern hospitality sector.
During this module principles of inspired and innovative leadership within the luxury hospitality industry will be analyzed, focusing on building a resilient tourism ecosystem.
Participants will learn about strategic approaches to leadership that embrace innovation, adaptive capacity, and sustainability. Participants engagements include case studies, real-world examples of successful leadership practices, and interactive discussions on overcoming risks and challenges in the evolving luxury market.
Professor Michail TOANGOGLOU
Professor of Management, Ph.d. in Hospitality & Tourism Management, Academic Director, M.Sc. in Hospitality Management
Dr. Michail TOANOGLOU, is a Professor in the Management Department at ESSEC and Academic Director for MSc in Hospitality Management. He is a hospitality and tourism expert with 25+ years of professional experience in management roles in both the private and public sectors.
He also has an extensive academic and research background, with more than 15 years of teaching experience in higher tourism and hospitality education in Europe and Asia.
Dr. Toanoglou has been involved in projects focused on strategic sustainable tourism development, destination management, and branding.
His research was conducted with ACCOR, focused on sustainable luxury experiences and customer responsiveness.
Since 2018, he has been a Certified Sustainability Expert by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and has contributed to various sustainability projects in the Asia-Pacific region.
He also holds top professional and academic certifications from the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA): Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE).
With more than 14 years of experiences in consulting, marketing and business development, Kevin works as a Senior Director in a leading data consulting company, Artefact, today.
Kevin has assisted numerous global fortune 500 brands in their data transformation and data marketing acceleration journeys in Asia Pacific, from data/digital maturity assessment, acceleration roadmap design, operating model review, Machine Learning use cases ideation, build, industrialization and scale, to value engineering framework and measurement model implementation.
Along the value chain of data transformation, Kevin specializes in the sales and marketing domain. Kevin spearheads the Data Marketing proposition of Artefact in Asia Pacific, partnering with Google, Alibaba and other major tech players in the market (e.g., customer data platforms, cloud providers) to transform multinational brands’ sales and marketing practices, from siloed operations to data-empowered and integrated strategies augmented by A.I.

Caroline Lagon brings over 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, specializing in Quality Management within luxury hotels.
In the past decade, she has worked as the Director of Quality for The Set Collection, an ultra-luxury collection of hotels, where she implemented quality processes and successfully elevated guest satisfaction and guest experience.
Since 2023, she serves as the Director of Employee Engagement within the group, fostering a positive and productive work culture while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence across all properties. Caroline has extensive experience in coaching managers and training teams. She developed a comprehensive course on quality management tailored for the hotel and luxury services industries, which she delivers to Master’s students at ESSEC Paris - MSc in Hospitality Management.
Recognized for her expertise, she has served on the advisory board of The Leading Hotels of the World, focusing on quality standards from a guest perspective. She holds a post-master’s degree in Hotel Management from Sorbonne University and a master’s degree in Economics from Aix-Marseille University.
